Participation in structured strength and conditioning programs has done much for improving athletic performance, but there are certain health risks associated with this accumulation of additional physical stress. Regular assessment of body composition is vital to following the growth and development of young athletes and for monitoring the health, nutritional, and training status of athletes of all ages.
Healthy Weight Program
- Monitor lean and fat weight development independently with the Bod Pod®.
- Identify potentially harmful physical changes that occur from inappropriate nutritional practices.
- Relate body composition status to performance to enhance strength and conditioning programs.
Evidence suggests that individuals who follow proper sports nutrition guidelines are less susceptible to dehydration, fatigue, and overuse injuries. With Body Technologies’ Healthy Weight Program it is easy to define ranges of %BF or FFM for each athlete to establish training goals compatible with good performance and health.
