Body Technologies promotes weight management through the application of scientifically proven strategies that address body fat, and muscle mass independently. We believe that having a customized weight management plan that is realistic and actionable is critical to achieving an improved quality of life.

Research has shown that accurate body composition measures lead to accurate metabolic information—both of which are critical elements in a successful plan. Body Technologies uses these measures to tailor a program just for you. Body composition measures tell us how much body fat and muscle your body is made of which is paramount for setting appropriate goals. Analyzing the metabolic information allows us to tailor an eating plan consisting of the right amount of calories that will help you safely and efficiently manage your weight.

Body Technologies was founded in 1996 in Phoenix, AZ as a mobile body composition assessment company. It was clear then that measuring body composition with a fast, safe and accurate device was critical to healthy and safe weight management. They were the first to introduce the BOD POD® to the Phoenix area traveling to fitness facilities, health fairs and corporations providing this service to thousands.

Since the BOD POD®'s inception, numerous research and trade publications have validated its accuracy, reliability, and ease-of-use, and is now considered the “Practical Gold Standard” in body composition assessment.

In 2006 Body Technologies launched its first assessment clinic to meet the increasing demands of its repeat clients. The office environment affords our clients a level of privacy needed to conduct quality, professional weight management consultations. Clients can also schedule appointments at their leisure to better fit into their schedules.

In 2008 Body Technologies launched 2 new facilities including a pilot program at Brophy Prep where student athletes participate in a specialized sports nutrition program found in many elite athletic programs.
